I’ve been planning this trip for years, and there just hasn’t been the right time to do it. That time is now! I’ll be leading a small group photography tour to Finnish Lapland!
This photography workshop will focus on a mix of snowy landscapes during the golden hours of the day, but also some icy northern lights imagery. We’ll start in Helsinki, take the Santa Clause express northbound and then drive around some of these impressively snowy scenes in the far north of Finland.

FAQs For the Finland Photography Tour
If you’re booking solo, you’ll be paired up with a roommate of the same gender as the pricing is based on double occupancy. However, if you’d like your own private single accommodation you can pay the single supplement.
In theory, almost anyone could do this trip. That said, to get the most out of it you’ll want to join for some shorter walks, and be comfortable enough to walk on snow and ice.
With long days in May and June, not all the days will look the same. But, for the most part, days will look like this:
6-7am: Optional Sunrise
7-9am: Breakfast
9-noon: Exploring and location scouting
12pm: Lunch
5:30pm: Sunset Photography
7pm: Dinner Time
9pm-12am: Northern Lights Photography
1am: Bedtime
Obviously, if we have an epic northern lights session we might stay out later, or if it’s a bust, we might turn in early. Moreover, sunrise is very optional as we may be out late.
Feel free to shoot me an email to brendanvanson at gmail dot com if you have any other questions about the trip.
