There are certain countries that just lend themselves perfectly to travel photography. Jordan is definitely one of those places. This travel photography workshop to Jordan is a great way to explore this beautiful country and capture some stunning images. Between the beautiful people (easily some of the most friendly on the planet) and the stunning landscapes, this is one of those trips were you can be guaranteed to have a cameral roll stuffed with iconic images, and a heart filled with wonderful memories.
We’ll guide you through the moon-like landscapes of Wadi Rum and glamp out in the wild. We will walk through the ancient slot canyons of Petra under the stars. We’ll explore canyons, step into the Dead Sea, and photograph the harbour of Aqaba.

Day 1 – Arrival in Amman
Day 2 – Travel to The Dead Sea
Day 3 – Explore Dead Sea and Wadi Mujib
Day 4 – Dead Sea sunrise, then travel to Aqaba
Day 5 – Full day exploring Aqaba
Day 6 – Travel to Wadi Rum. Glamping under the stars
Day 7 – Full day in Wadi Rum.
Day 8 – Travel to Petra. Photographing Petra at night.
Day 9 = Full day exploring Petra.
Day 10 – Return to Amman
Day 11 – Tour ends after breakfast.

Please go easy on the images. The last time I travelled to Jordan was nearly a decade ago. As a result, the photos are a bit dated and the style has definitely changed. That said, they can certainly give you an idea of what you’ll see and photograph on this tour to Jordan.

FAQs For the Jordan Photography Workshop
We’ll be staying in a mix of accommodation. However, for the most part it’s very comfortable. In Amman and Aqaba we’ll be in 4 star hotels. At the Dead Sea, we’ll be at a resort. In Petra at a 4-star hotel. And in Wadi Rum we’ll be glamping with Bedouins.
Yes. Absolutely. We’ll book at least 1 night in Petra to do the “Petra by night” tour. In Wadi Rum and at the Dead Sea we’ll also go out for astro photography.
With a lot of conflict currently in the middle east, you’re definitely justified in worrying. However, Jordan remains one of the safest places to travel.
Some countries in the middle east will deny you entry if you have a stamp from Israel on it. However, that is not the case in Jordan. You can currently enter the country if you have a stamp from Israel on it.
Yes. The local tour operator takes care of the visas for all our guests.
