Is there a more famously beautiful country on the planet than Ireland? I mean, it’s almost synonymous with beauty. But somehow, there’s a distinct lack of photography tours and workshops exploring Ireland. Maybe it doesn’t feel as “exotic” as places like Namibia, Patagonia, or Iceland. But I assure you, it’s just as photogenic.
In 2028, I’ll be leading a seascape photography tour of Ireland. We’ll cover the absolute best of the emerald isle during the dramatic autumn weather!

The Workshop Itinerary
After spending my 2026 photography tour to Ireland scouting and trying to find the absolute best photo locations, I’ve come up with a nice 11 day itinerary that I think covers the best landscape spots in the country. It also provides a bit of variety. Sure, we’ll focus on seascapes, but we’ll also find some other classic travel photography locations within the country.
The itinerary is moderately flexible, but it will look more or less like this.
- Day 1 – Arrive in Belfast, and immediately head north to Portrush
- Day 2- Full day exploring locations near Portrush such as Giant’s Causeway and The Hedges.
- Day 3 – Travel across to the epic location that is Fanad Head.
- Day 4 – We’ll make our way south to Dungloe and Crohy Head.
- Day 5 – We will continue south to Killala and see the famous Downpatrick Head
- Day 6 – Our journey will take us to Clifden, where loads of cool locations are found.
- Day 7 – We’ll give ourselves a bit of a “classic” Irish night in the city of Galway.
- Day 8 – Now, we’re going to head to Killarney.
- Day 9 – We have a full day in the Killarney and Dingle area.
- Day 10 – After a morning in Killarney, we’ll head to Dublin.
- Day 11 – The tour ends after breakfast in Dublin.

FAQs For the Ireland Photography Workshop
We’ll be in 3-star+ accommodation. On the west coast of Ireland it will mostly be bed and breakfast style accommodation.
No two days will be the same, but it might look like:
– 5h30 — head to photograph sunrise location
– 7h30 — return to accommodation for breakfast
– Breakfast and a bit of freetime
– 10h — Drive to new hotel. Have lunch. Maybe a bit of free time.
– 17h — Head out for sunset location
– 19h — Return to hotel, dinner time
– 21h — Bed time.
The price of the tour is based on twin share. Meaning that if you’ve booked solo, you’ll be paired with another participant of the same gender for your accommodation. With a single supplement, you get your own private accommodation throughout the trip.
The easy answer is there’s as much as you’d like. For the most part, most of our locations are a short walk from where the nearest car park is. But for the ambitious ones, there might be options to go farther afield to try finding more unique angles and compositions.
I run a bunch of different styles of trips. What “classic” means is that it’s a pretty set itinerary based around “classic” photo locations. I’ll guide you to some of the absolute best photo spots in Ireland and the best time to photograph them. As such, things are very well planned and organized, rather than spent exploring and scouting.
Final payments will be due 120 days prior to the start date of this trip.
The payment timeline is as such:
1. Final invoices are due 120 days prior to the trip’s start date.
2. Deposits can be cancelled at a full refund, minus a 10% up to 120 days prior to the trip’s start date.
3. Any cancellations between 120-90 days of departure day can be refunded with a 10% penalty.
4. No cash refunds available within 90 days of tour’s start date.
5. Any cancellations between 90-45 days of departure can be used as credit for a future trip, minus a 10% fee.
6. Any cancellations within 45 days of departure will result in full loss of payment. Please refer to your travel insurance in this case.
