Who Can Join a Photo Tour?
Anyone, really. As long as your fairly outgoing, have a keen desire to shoot travel photography, and can pay the bill, you’re more than welcome on one of the photography workshops.
Do I have to be a Photographer to Join?
The answer is no. That said, these tours are completely structured around travel photography. Thus, if you’re not into photography, you could find yourself a little bit bored as the rest of us stand around taking photos and screaming things like “oh, dear, god, check out that light!”. If you want to join one of my photo tours as a non-photographer, there are still lots of amazing things to see.
Why Should I Join one of your Tours?
These tours are set up in a way that not only allows you to experience a country, shoot some amazing images, but a tool to learning, and improving your photography skills. I’m a big believer in that well you can learn a lot from book, and youtube videos, there’s no better way to improve your travel photography than doing it out in the field with a professional. I’ve learned more in the field from other photographers than any book could ever teach.
What Gear do I need to Bring?
Well, that’s up to you. In each of the tour information pages there will be a detailed list of things to bring. About a month before the tour starts you’ll be given a tour information package which will include a checklist of things to bring.
Can I Rent Photography Gear?
From me, no. However, upon request I can lead you to some really good places to do so. Renting gear for a photo tour is a great idea.
What’s a Single Supplement?
All our prices are based on double occupancy of accommodation on the road. Thus, if you’re a single traveller, you’ll me match up with another single traveller of the same gender where possible. If you do not wish to share, as a single traveller, you can purchase the single supplement which ensures you get private accommodation the entire journey.
What Forms of Payment do you Accept?
At the moment, I’m accepting only paypal. However, I’m hoping that changes soon. Of course, you don’t need a paypal account to use paypal, it will accept any form of major credit card.
What is the Payment Process?
To reserve a spot on the tour you must pay %25 of the total price of the tour to hold your place. You’ll be able to cancel your tour at any point up until 60 days before the tour starts incurring a penalty of $100 to cover paypal fees and booking time on my end.
If you cancel between 15-60 days of the tour’s starting date, you’ll be refunded your payment minus the deposit. We will refund the remaining deposit, minus $100 to cover fees, if your spot on the tour is filled.
If you cancel within 15 days of the tour’s starting date, you will not be refunded any of your payment.
Do I Need Travel Insurance?
Yes. In fact, it’s a requirement to join one of my tours and I’ll be verifying it at the start of the tour.
