With the morning heat about to bear down on us, we were packing up our camera gear and ready to hike back to the 4x4s. After slinging my camera gear on my shoulders, I took one last look through my 100-400mm lens and spotted this scene down the barrel. It was perfect.
I’ve spent a dozen mornings at Deadvlei and though I always come away with an image, it’s one place that had always left me feeling like I could do better – until this photo.
